Meet the Governors

Mr Andy Glennon - Chair

I am a former pupil having left St Mary’s and St Peters in 1974 ! I am married to Michelle, with two grown up children. I live in Guiseley and remain a keen sports fan and avid supporter of Bradford City and Yorkshire cricket. I am currently involved in a number of projects, including working with a local Children’s charity, having previously spent some thirty years working in Finance.

Mr Jim Wilkinson - Vice Chair

I am a Procurement Specialist at Yorkshire Water, and have been there many years in job roles connected to business needs.  I have been a school governor at this school for 10 years, and visit school at least once a week to assist pupils in Year 2 with their reading. I was a past pupil at this school in my early education years.

Mrs Anne Lee - Foundation

Hello my name is Anne Lee.  I was born on Florence Street off Leeds Road and attended St Peter's School from the age of 5 until 11. I passed my scholarship and went to St Joseph's College and then onto Sheffield University where I trained to be a teacher.
I taught in Bradford schools for 23 years before becoming a Deputy Head Teacher. For the last 10 years of my career I was a consultant specialising in Education for More Able Pupils. I worked with schools across the country and in particular Bradford as an associate lecturer for Oxford Brookes University training teachers to provide for their more able pupils.

I now spend my retirement travelling with my husband and having fun with my family.

MrsKhushboo Garg - Parent
I’m delighted to join the governing body at St. Mary's and St. Peter's Catholic Primary School.
In my role as Parent Governor, I am committed to the school achieving more to ensure students are in a great position to maximise their potential. I care deeply about the education of children and about the equality of the school. I am keen to help them individually to enjoy learning in all subjects and at all the appropriate levels.
As my son has progressed at this school, I have seen the significance of the quality of education he has received, and the effect this has had on his development.
Through seeing the excellent efforts of the staff at the school to maximise the quality of the school experience, both academic and social, I feel all parents owe a debt to the school and its staff.  For this reason I have volunteered my time and skills as a parent governor.I enjoy working as a member of a close knit team.  I fully uphold the schools ethos and values and would welcome the opportunity to undertake this role.
I have found the experience of working with the school Governing Body informative and rewarding. I look forward to the future of the school, helping to guide and influence the direction of the school during this exciting and challenging period.
More than anything as a parent I am passionate in my desire to help achieve the best possible schooling experience for our children, to give them the best possible start and foundation for happy and healthy life ahead.
I look forward to working with the excellent staff and governors at St. Mary's and St. Peter's Catholic Primary School and feel privileged to be given the opportunity to help us all get where we want to be. Most importantly; as all parents do; I want my children to enjoy learning, feel happy and be safe.

Mr Anthony Dwyer - Foundation

I live within the school's catchment area, and I am a parishioner of St. Anne's Cathedral Leeds. When leaving school I followed a career in the building and pharmaceutical industries. Receiving a BSc (Hons)in Earth System Science from Leeds University.
For many years I have volunteered and been active within Christian Agencies. Attending events such as the Justice and Peace Commission.
Finally I look forward to supporting the school's staff in providing a caring environment that seeks academic excellence for it's pupils.
