Welcome to St. Mary's and St. Peter's Catholic Primary School

Welcome to our school

Hello and welcome to St Mary's and St Peter's school website. On this website we hope you will find everything you want and some extras. On here there are activities for the children to do and a chance for the adults to find out all about what we are doing in our school.

Our school prides itself on being an exciting and fun place for the children to come and learn.

School Mission

The mission of St. Mary’s and St. Peter’s Catholic Primary School is to provide a Christ centred worshipping community where uniqueness and difference is embraced and celebrated.  Each person, especially the most vulnerable, is nurtured to achieve their full potential and human wholeness enabling them to make a valuable contribution to society as a child of God.

I have come so that they may have life, and have it to the full”               (John 10.10)

What a wonderful week we have had learning about the Queen and the Royal Family. All the classes have enjoyed many activities with a whole school picnic as a celebration of the Queen's 90th Birthday. The children really got into the spirit of things from learning the national anthem, writing poetry, designing crowns, writing biographies to dancing in the playground.

We had a very special visitor into school as the prize for winning the Summer Reading Challenge. The author Phil Earle came to speak to the children and staff and share his fabulous talent for story writing. This very inspirational man had the children gripped with his stories and ideas.

The T&A came to help us celebrate by writing an article of our success and the visit in their paper.

Nursery Places Available

If you have any younger children (or if you have family or friends with younger children) and you have not yet put their name down for Nursery then please come into school with their birth certificate and speak to Mrs. Spafford.
