"In God we Love, Laugh and Learn"
Welcome to St. Mary's and St. Peter's Catholic Primary School
Hello and welcome to St Mary's and St Peter's school website. On this website we hope you will find everything you want and some extras. On here there are activities for the children to do and a chance for the adults to find out all about what we are doing in our school.
Our school prides itself on being an exciting and fun place for the children to come and learn.
"Maths is like religion because in religion we all have different faiths and believe in different Gods, but we all end up at the same place - Heaven
In maths we can choose a different path and use a different method, but we all end up at the same place - the answer."
Gurkamal Singh, Year 4 (2016)
The mission of St. Mary’s and St. Peter’s Catholic Primary School is to provide a Christ centred worshipping community where uniqueness and difference is embraced and celebrated. Each person, especially the most vulnerable, is nurtured to achieve their full potential and human wholeness enabling them to make a valuable contribution to society as a child of God.
“I have come so that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10.10)
A great big thank you for your generosity for our Harvest appeal.
What a lovely morning we had on Friday 30th September when we held our McMillan Coffee morning. We were inundated with cakes for the event. Thank you to all who donated and attended, we raised just over £130 for this very worthy cause. Well done to everyone involved.
We have had a great start to this school year with our focus on 100 years of Roald Dahl. The children have enjoyed the first two weeks studying his stories and looking at facts about the man himself. We topped off the celebration with a Roald Dahl dress up day. The children and staff really got into the spirit of things as you can see.
Nursery Places Available
If you have any younger children (or if you have family or friends with younger children) and you have not yet put their name down for Nursery then please come into school with their birth certificate and speak to Mrs. Spafford.
